For the first time all season, the Clippers have lost back-to-back games. They were the last team in the NBA to accomplish that. Now, let’s hope they don’t go for their third straight. The Clippers kick off a quick two-game road trip tonight in Minnesota. Luckily, the T’Wolves are one of the worst teams in the league.
However, this isn’t a team that should be slept on. After missing the last 13 games due to COVID protocols, Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to return for Minnesota tonight. They went 3-10 in his absence and can desperately use him back. On the season, though in a limited amount of games, he’s averaging more than 22 points per game to go along with more than 12 rebounds and three blocks. When he’s on the court, he’s a difference maker.

In his absence, Minnesota has been getting production from Malik Beasley, who is playing like an All-Star this season. He’s averaging more than 20 points per game and is shooting just under 40 percent from deep. D’Angelo Russell is also having a solid season as well, as he’s averaging 19 points with five assists. Rookie Anthony Edwards has looked great to start his career. He’s averaging 14 points a game, leading all rookies.

The Clippers will be without Paul George yet again. His absence has showed just how valuable he truly is to the team, as LA hasn’t looked the same without him. Things could have been different had he been out there the last two games, but I doubt LA loses two straight if he was healthy.
This will be the second matchup this season between these two teams. Minnesota came to LA back in December. The Clippers handled them with ease, beating them 124-101. Looking back at that game, only one Clipper scored at least 20 points.. and it was Lou Williams of all players. His best game of the season came against Minnesota.
Clippers Vs Timberwolves Predictions
This will be a different look though compared to that game. LA will be without George and Minnesota will have Towns back. Tonight should be a game the Clippers take care of, but don’t overlook this young Minnesota team. They’ve lost four of their last five games, but those four losses have come by a combined 12 points!
